Dr Sonia Sachdev graduated from the University of Adelaide with a BDS in 2004. After graduating, she moved back to Sydney and worked as a dental officer at Westmead Dental Hospital for three years. She then worked in another private practice before taking over Dental on Marion in 2011.
As well as being the principal dentist here, she is a clinical educator with the University of Sydney. She has a keen interest in many aspects of dentistry including Children's Dentistry, Crown and Implant work. She has also completed a fellowship in Implants with the University of Miami.
As the driving force behind Dental on Marion, she has made sure we stay up to date with the latest technology, which includes a CEREC scanner to do same day crowns and a 3D Cone Beam CT machine to enable implant planning on site. She has a very calm and friendly demeanour, which her patients love. She is very adept at calming nervous children and also anxious adults so that each visit will be a comfortable experience for all.
Harley, the certified therapy dog
Floss Boss, Harley is a certified dental therapy dog that occasionally makes a guest appearance.
Harley loves to provide comfort, affection, cuddles and emotional support to those who are nervous or anxious when visiting the Dentist.
